Piaggio is currently running a special pricing program for 1st responders.

My wife's Honda Metropolitan has only a center stand.
I guess the makers assume the machine is so light no way you'll drop it while balancing to keep it up while getting off to put it up on the center stand.
Well, so far my wife hasn't dropped it.

Having had 4 Vespas  in the past and lived in Italy---$500 discount maybe good deal as they are overpriced in US and weak Dealer network.

and speaking of dealers...that is an oddball assortment of brands the dealer in the pic carries! Not odd in the bad sense, just all low volume, niche brands. They must be in a very large metro area to be able survive selling those brands.
