Title: Compatible Front Disc Brakes & Disc Measurements - Part #: 45121-LBD5-E00

The Part # on the diagram for the front disc on the agility 50 and the agility 125 is 45121-LBD5-E00. Trying to find a replacement or non-OEM disc is proving a bit tricky for me. Each site categorizes them differently whether by Manufacturer, Engine size, Measurements or even Scooter/ATV/Pit Bike, etc and sometimes the same disc is in several categories with the same measurements for different prices.  ???

They all seem to list the measurements, though. I have no tool to measure the diameters or millimeters and such. Does anyone happen to know what these measurements are on the stock/OEM front disc? Or possibly of an online website that lists them?

They look something like this:

Specifications:
-Diameter: 160mm / 6.299 inches
-Center Hole Diameter: 48mm / 1.89 inch
-Thickness: 3.75mm / 0.1476 inch
-Bolt Hole Spacing: 48mm (center to center right to left) / 1.89 inch
-Bolt Hole Spacing: 68mm (center to center straight across) / 2.677 inches

Maybe someone can tell me how to verify what will fit and what will not work. I actually saw one somewhere on the east coast for less than the cost of having mine machined or turned...or whatever it's called. Was thinking I could order one and use it while I have mine fixed, then have a spare if I need one again the future to prevent total downtime.

Found this on ebay under "kymco parts" . The part # is the same for the agility 50 & 125 .

Wow, great find, juice. I appreciate it! It would figure (just my luck) out of 274 kymco brake parts his is the only one without a Buy it Now price. It's at $36 right now with the shipping. It will probably go too high for me to be able to grab it before next payday. He had good prices on his NGKs and some other things too, though. Might be worth saving his info. Any idea what tool is needed or where to get it to find specific measurements?

Thanks, juice. I got a measure with millimeters on it today at the pawn shop for a buck. It's much easier now. Less chance of my messing up the conversions. The one on the east coast with cheap shipping definitely won't fit, but I have found some more to choose from.

I understand how to measure the overall Diameter, the Center Hole Diameter and the Thickness. I don't really know yet if there is any leeway in the measurements if the Center Hole Diameter fits. I'm hoping I'll luck out and find one that fits all the dimensions. Can I ask if you might know what they mean for the Bolt Hole Spacing in the example above? I'm kind of lost where they say "center to center right to left" and "center to center straight across". I'm not sure what to measure for that. Mine has 3 bolt holes.

I am just guessing here , but I would think the distance from The opposite mounting tab holes and the distance across the center without the mounting tabs would be relative . Im sure one of the pro wrenchheads here will know for sure .

Hi, wordslinger. Yes, Stadium Yamaha price is $56.48 and kymcopartsonline price is 61.51. Some other places want $70 or more for it. They are NG (Next Generation) Brake Discs I believe. Possibly the NG1011 in the catalog. After going to the dentist today I now have $17.20 so I guess it doesn't really matter now.  :D I will have to wait two weeks no matter where I order from.

But I still would like to figure this out. It might be pretty easy to find a universal type disc once you understand how. I must not be the only one who has ever tried because I have see some places selling adapters for around $10 that look kind of like mini discs.

If I could figure it out I wouldn't mind having a $20 spare (like a donut tire) on hand for cases like this while waiting for payday to roll around.

EDIT: I found it, had to type in the #. Did not see it in the agility parts category. They have it for $66.92.

Yes, winter riding does change things a bit.

You have to figure out if you want to ride really fast and create a greater windchill but get home quicker or drive slower and be out in the cold longer.

So instead of scooter tuning, you'll be doing driver tuning!

Okay, so the website says:
MRP ALSO OFFERS OEM DISK BRAKES USING THE OEM NUMBERS FOUND IN THE REPAIR MANUAL SECTION.

So I type in the search bar:
45121-LDB5-E00

And I get back 4 results with these varying prices:
$63.80
$85.20
$4.35
$66.92

All are 58x4, but with a different overall diameter, so maybe this is not important???

Anyway, did you see that 3rd price, what is that "DISK FRONT BRAKE MATRIX"? I gotta know, lol. It won't let me post the link to the search results page right, but here is where I typed it in:

Okay, sorry. I can be confusing this time of night. lol

One question at a time maybe:

Is the overall diameter of the disc a variable? Or does it have to be 180?

My original brake disc is 180x58x4. 4mm is the width. 58 is the center hole diameter. 180 is the measurement across the entire thing. It showed me different sizes.

It must be the same overall diameter.  Otherwise your caliper wouldn't mount correctly.

I was just curious about how much the OEM cost since I haven't checked their site for that.  

It can be a major challenge to find out what's compatible - especially because different sites can give you different answers.

True. It's $56.48 at StadiumYamaha and $61.51 at kymcopartsonline. But now I have a list of many other scoots that the same part interchanges with.

I guess I'm about 3/4 of the way through the challenge. Now it's just finding the least expensive one. So far kymcoracingparts had it for $1 less. Too tired tonight.

My front disc has markings on it. It says:

MINTH 3mm
LB
613

I assume the MINTH 3mm means Minimum Thickness of 3mm are required.
Not sure what the LB stands for. (Left Brake side maybe? I dunno.)
Is the 613 a Part #? I ask because that's not what the OEM Part# is supposed to be.

Can anyone else tell me what it says on their front brake disc, please? Thanks.

Mine's the same - except it says 7H6 instead of 613 (6I3???)

So I think you're right about the minimum thickness and left brake part.

I found this article that says:

So, if this is true, the numbers on the OEM discs may not actually offer any new or helpful information. It may just be a number that Kymco stamped on them.

Makes sense, those numbers probably just identify the specific supplier who made them, or the batch number.

Thanks, pedro. Wow, you're #'s are totally different than mine. I'm really thinking now that these are just some #'s that Kymco assigned to them, unless yours shows something in Google that mine and oswaldters didn't. There definitely not NG catalog #'s

OH, and good catch, oswaldters on that 6"I"3 on mine. I looked again and it's not a 1.

I'd Google them numbers to death...lol...Rianna's not googling much right now, though, 'til the internet gets sorted out. Took me all week to find a rotor with the same dimensions as mine when it should have taken a day to a day and half even with interruptions!!!

I did notice something when I took mine off. The bolt holes are 6mm and there are 3 of them. Probably just a coincidence, though.

Don't know if my bolt holes are 7 mm but I do know that I don't have 6 bolts! 

So you're probably right about it being a coincidence.

Looks that way. I finally found a friend whose husband knew how to ride and I asked him the other day to ride it in my direction so I could look at it while it was spinning. Looked off to me...wobbly. He told me to ride it while he took a look and right away he was like, "Oh yeah, this disc is warped! I see the problem!" So, I guess I could have had my answer a long time ago if I knew more folks that ride scoots!

Yeah, that sounds like you may well have found your problem. 

You definitely don't want to mess up those bearings trying to get them out if the rotor is the problem.

And I know you need to get that rotor fixed so you can get back on the road.

The bearings are not the same ones listed on stadiumyamaha. Stadiumyamaha lists NTN brand and these are TPI. They seem to be compatible, but someone must have replaced them already.

I just figured it would be a good idea to inspect everything and replace what was needed all at one time.

Someone definitely worked on this front end before, though. The bolts had black painted marks on them. You know the ones that are supposed to show where to line them back up again after you remove them? Well one of them was perfectly up and down and the other one was way off to the right, like it had been overtightened, not lined up even at all.

That is a bit suspicious.

I'm starting to wonder if someone messed up that front end and had to make some repairs to it.

How many kms did your scoot have on it when you bought it?

Yes.

I suppose it is possible that someone may have damaged the front end while riding it and had to get it repaired.

Have you noticed anything else odd about the front end?

Yeah, my money is on someone saw it and had to have it, then found out the hard way that it wasn't for them and took it back all a mess. LOL.

Odd like what, oswaldters? I really don't know. But if I had money and a car/ other scoot I would have had it on the road again by now.

I seem to recall you mentioning something about grease leaking out - like someone may have worked on the steering.

I was thinking of anything in the front end that looked like it had been worked on or was scratched up. 

You have the OEM Cheng Shin front tire still right?

The steering may have also been worked on. I need more special tools to get into that though...according to the manual...and they did not have anything large enough at the pawn shop. I was hoping they would have something.

Don't sweat the OEM tires - they really are just fine for both wet and dry traction.  I ran them through 2 years of use including lots of rain and even some snow and never had any traction issues.

Their weakness is that they start to lose effectiveness after you get some miles on them - but you have a long way to go on them still.

In other words, I wouldn't make changing them a priority right now.

But...if I could swap that front one out, I'd do it in a second! The back one's not so bad, but the front one bugs me every time I look at it. :D

Aw, no problem, wordslinger. This is not your fault. In the end I also thought the newer scoot would be the better option. Logically it made more sense. This was my fault for being naive in thinking that a Dealer would make it 100% road ready before a sale.

And I really appreciate all the help getting the A50 straight!!

I still dream about a S9, though...maybe one day...lol
