Seems like it'd be simpler, and safer, to ride with a bit of weather gear on.
Still - amazing craftsmanship - which I think might have been the point of the whole rodeo?

Maybe. But I think the line between cars and bikes is starting to blur. Yamaha's Tricity 300 for example:

...can be ridden on a car licence in the UK. A bit more weather protection and a bigger motor (maybe electric) and you could be well into the massive car driver commuter market.

.....and for Stig. J Clarkson had a ride in a similar Swiss built machine way back in the early years of Top Gear. These things were also home built, powered by a BMW K series motor and very expensive. Looks like fun though!
