Title: Odometer does not work on Kymco Agility 50 4T
Post by: Blaaze6673 on April 02, 2021, 01:25:29 PM
Hi,

I have my Kymco Agility 50 4T scooter. Odometer does not work since front wheel was taken off.
'Experts' tried to fix this issue with no success.
There is a cable that connects to the 'speedo drive gear' on the front wheel. After I unplugged the cable from the speedo drive gear and spun the front wheel i noticed that the blad shape stuff  was spinning clockwise.

Any ideas what is wrong with the odometer? It must be caused by the assembly.

Kind regards,
B.

@Baaze,
there is no other reasonable way to find out, than to take off your front wheel and:
-like you wrote there is in this "speedo drive gear" a small sprocket which (simply said) connects the drive  with the odo cable. Check whether those parts are rightly positioned, and your black bigger outer gear part is hooked up with its nose at the fork.
It helps if you "glue" the small sprocked in with some grease during assambling.
One more reason could be your odo- cable not far enough in its sheath, down there where this #screw is located at.
