Title: Yesterday was a nice day for a ride
Post by: Kansas kymco on December 27, 2020, 07:43:05 AM
Went out to the shed to let the scooters run for about 10-15 minutes.  The Xciting 500 carburetor was a little cantankerous starting so it was time for some road time. Got up to 60F yesterday so put on a lined jacket and gauntlet insulated leather  gloves  and helmet and took off on a 60 mile loop. Gas gauge was just starting to come off full when I got back home. Seen two other motorcyclist on the loop.  Felt good to get out of the house.  Snow and rain are predicted later this week.  Back to hibernation.

It was actually the Xicting 250I turn to be ridden but while checking the tire pressure I noticed black thread at the rear vent of the CVT housing.  Factory belt and 14k miles probably time to change. So it got parked and cantankerous 500 went for a ride. Will drop off the 250I and get a new belt, coolent flush and brake fluid flush.
