Title: ACF-50 anti-corrosive for winter hibernation
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on December 17, 2020, 05:03:17 PM
...or even if you are going to ride through the winter.
Good to have an application of this stuff, or its equal, to the metal parts (& more - please read instructions for use with electrical fittings) - of your scooter.
NEVER on brake discs or pads!
I use a soft natural paint brush, cotton shop rag and a metal bowl. Brush/wipe/spray it on. Work it into and around parts. Save the tools in a freezer bag and re-use in several months.

If you've found something better - us it!

Smells a bit when cooking into the exhaust and muffler the next day or so. :)
There are youtube videos, etc. for its use on motorcycles.

Yes.
You probably don't get snowed in down there..... but if you did you might find a read-up on this stuff to be of interest.😊

Thanks, there is a possibility that I will move to an area which do get snow - therefore my question.
I already found some reading about this product elsewhere, so thanks for mentioning the product at this forum.

@Sooterfan
Got to use in countries with salty roads on my motorbikes and cars this LIQUI MOLY product for decades with sufficiant result. Builds up a light amber coating. Has the advantage to seep into all small gaps during summer (hot) season. Is very easy to spray on with an airgun. On my bikes and now scoot l keep it with Stig, brush/ spray/rub.
