Hi,
I have 15 y old Kymco Agility 50 4T scooter that wont start from battery. It has new battery. It is suffering on battery start and produces weak spark.
I was wondering if my the CDI can be wrong or not since kick start is working.
The CDI of my scooter has 6 pins as follows:

Is it ok if i measure ground on KILLWIRE pin by default?
Scooter is running after kickstart and RPM control works. Can my CDI be faulty after all? I can get weak spark from battery start. I have new spark though

CDI stands for Capacitive Discharge Ignition which means it is good if it runs after kickstarting it. So CDI is not your problem nor is the start run switch (kill switch).
Weak spark/no start with new battery could be either an improperly charged new battery or a bad connection ANYWHERE along the heavy wires from battery to relay to starter to ground.

Ah, thanks! I'll look after a new battery and/or conductance issue with cables.
Kind regards,
Blaaze

I replaced the existing used 3Ah battery with a new 6Ah YTX7A-BS battery which is recommended by battery store. -> Scooter starts, all is fine!

Thanks for the follow-up.
