Almost made the mistake of laying in the warm bed this morning and voting on this ride.
Another Ohio Winter is here.
"Just get up. 5:30AM, You won't regret it."
Out for 3.5 hrs. Highway 21 7V gloves worked fine...but don't take them off! Used all 3 heat settings - still working when I arrived home from my coffee ride.
Xmas lights in town.

not a bad coffee shop - but he doesn't open until the Prius crowd is awake.....

Those big sycamores are still trying to drop leaves in my coffee.

Didn't warm up for the ride home.

The old LIKE worked flawlessly. I've ridden this air-cooled scooter from 104°F down to 3°F. After 8 yrs starting to wonder when something will finally strand me. If I knew - I'd replace the part right now.

great pics as always, Stig! 5:30 AM and 22 degrees?..wow...I waited until noon, sunshine and 39 or 40 degrees today for a motorcycle ride (was wishing for heated gloves partway through the ride).
Any concerns about icy / frosty patches on the road at that time in below freezing weather? Obviously you've been fine all these years but, dang, that would make me nervous.

I saw 2 cars moving at that hour yesterday. ...which is why I ride then.
Yep, checked the route in the car before riding.
If I deviate, or go exploring, I wait until after I've some daylight. The LIKE's headlamp is not all that great at 35W.
Last time i had an 'ice surprise ' was riding my Honda bike to work on a winter day in Mass., 1968 believe it was...
Dadgum street cleaner had sprayed an intersection downtown. Did a little bit of dirt tracking around the corner😊
I've reconned 2 different routes for scooter riding.
(in a car) If it snows - I'll start the procedure over.

Wise precautions Stig. Keep it rubber side down.

Would replacing the bulb with a 35 watt led bulb work ?

Well, I'm no expert but it seems that LED bulbs don't play well with a refector set up for a halogen bulb.
Some say - yes, you get more light, but it isn't focused where you need it to be, and therefore may be flooding oncoming drivers.
Guessing the reflector bucket is designed to work with a certain bulb type?

With as little morning traffic as you deal with it might be worth a try for under $20.
