Resumee for me:
A) got a lot of knowledge how all parts and particularely PP-parts are mounted, interconnected and where what is located at this scooter
B) got plenty of spareparts like wheels with nearly new HEIDENAU tyre in front and a MICHELIN City Grip for rear. And of course all other goodies like headlight, indicators and so on...
C) was really fun to explain COVID border check im Italy why and what l had this items in my car. Had it covered with a bedlinen.
Think there is the word "Nakedbike"
coming from. (pls see pic)
Finally is to say that this Like ran on salty streets for years and though most bolts where superficially rusty, none of them where stuck or sheared off. Also no extreme use of force on tools was neccessary. Says something about quality of material used by Kymco.
Will continue until parts are used up.

Ruffus, great story, great pics and you now have an intimate knowledge of how that entire scoot goes together!
You REALLY took that thing apart! Now you have a nice supply of spare parts to keep your scooter going indefinitely.
Also good to hear that even though the scoot was a little rusty, no parts were completely corroded. Thank you for sharing this with us!

So, was there a muffler?....
Did you have to show an ownership title for the scooter as you smuggled in the scooter under bedclothes?!?
Well, did they at least take your temperature?

I will contact you if I get stuck in some areas on my LIKE. I've only looked under her skirt a couple of times ....and it was exciting.
Found her birth certificate there!

What a great job you've done there Ruffus. Was Mrs R mollified when she saw the care you took packing it all away safely under her best duvet? ::)
I can just imagine my missus' response to such a jaunt... (I still haven't lived down getting her to drive the 4 kids to northern Italy and back while I took my 955i Daytona there as outrider!)

There were some parts missing, particular muffler, cylinder, cylinderhead, valve cover, CVT cover, air guidings and front PP- middle cover (service lid).
Fortunately l did have a bright moment there in this gardenshed and made with previous owners at least a bill of sale wherein scoots VIN ( birth certificate) is shown. Does not go for any further imatriculation, but showed at least l haven't stolen it.
Guys at the setup checkpoint did the "whole nine yards" as we would say, inclusive testing my temperature and dissinfect the car.
Would like to do a series of pics with all scooter parts shown in natura inclusive an explosion chart with corresponding part group from an catalogue.
Have to think how to set it up.

It's right now pretty hard to travel around. But will go by again.
Yes, my beloved wife gave me credits for taking such good care of our new family member.

With all this kind words, my scooter plushed red cheeks of joy. Does not mean she would be freed from daily chores. (pls see pics)
But to sturdy her a little bit, she's got beefier elbows (handle weights) from a piece of solid INOX which was on stock by happenstance.
