Hi all, I'm new to scootering and love it...I have come from big bikes and love the nippy scooter. My question is I have a Kymco 2006 BUG (or Sting or YUP - same bike) with an SF10A 50cc 2 stroke engine, does this engine come fitted to anything else in the Kymco range? I want performance parts for it to boost top speed and acceleration.
Cheers all.

Welcome to the forum!
"cheers" ? U.K. ?
Not at all versed in 2 strokes here, but can your local Kymco service desk answer your questions?
Good luck ....I've often read that 2 strokes can be modded with good results.
Again - welcome!

All the 2-srokes I've had were based on Chinese engines, but I've always had to do my own research. There's trainloads of speed parts available, and I nearly always finished by blowing the engines apart by going too fast. Like 2-stroke dirt bikes, they're a lot of fun while they last, but they overheat at speed and melt the piston sides when pushed to the limit. On the other hand, they're quick & easy to repair after they blow up. Lets us know how it works out!

Welcome aboard, mine was the same route big bikes for 30+ years then bought the scoot as a viable every day alternative to a second car! Bung a top box on to supplement the underseat storage and you're good for all but the main weekly shop! Love it.
