Title: Dash Lights & Clock
Post by: Vision on October 23, 2020, 01:00:12 AM: My dash lights went out and the clock stopped working. Anyone know of a tutorial on how to fix these? Don't see any youtube videos.

Post by: Vision on October 23, 2020, 01:23:06 AM: The dash has gone completely dark and the clock hasn't been working for a year. I suspect the rectifier problem this summer blew out the dash lights. I don't know where to start other than taking random bolts off.

2 x 12v, 1.7w
1 x 12v, 3.4w

Are these two above, 194 lights?

If you put a 12v 1.5w bulb into a 1.7w or 3.4w outlet I assume the bulb will burn out? How do you shop for the correct wattage? Don't see 1.7w or 3.4w bulbs.

Post by: Ruffus on May 30, 2021, 07:42:57 PM: @Vision, NO, those glassbulbs will, as long as they are 12 V rated, not burn out if you put 1,5 W instead 1,7 or 3,4 Ws. Only lights dimmer. You can take any from 1,2 until 3,2 Ws. Take what you can get from an AutoShop like Checkers or....

If yes, go there and ask for such bulbs, from a wreck, the guys usually have a stash somewhere.

Take your bulb in to any auto parts store, and match it up.
These are common bulbs for dash instruments.......
Cheap, easy to find.

No, saying walk in to your autoparts store and match it up.
