Title: easy spark plug get to---2019 XTown 300I
Post by: john grinsel on October 12, 2020, 03:25:10 PM
At about 10,000 miles I tried to get at spark plug when I checked bike over---following Kymco instructions, could not get to plug or get out, forced me to buy plug wrench from HONDA---but didn't pull plug out---figuring I'd get it out at 30,000 miles and maybe change/at least gap.

Right now while on ground on changing oil, saw (discovery) if you look in from left side you can see plug and probably with spark plug socket , get plug out to look, etc.=time saver.

My bike is ready for big trip when this virus thing slows down---fresh matching tires, new OEM belt, nothing falling off---In daily use right now, but going no place.   Chattanooga in best of times is boring and expensive.

Impossible to get proper tap beer here at right price!

Same with the DT300i....
You still thinkin' gas should be 25 cents a gallon like 1963, John! Just like me!

In the 1950's quartermaster gas on base was 10 cents a gallon---but both my Messerschmitt got 60 mpg and my BMW 500 solo got 60 mpg/with sidecar 40 mpg.   Always carried gas in car/ also in sidecar=rolling  bombs

"Can't get spark plug out"...!
By the time I was shopping for my 4th scooter I'd learned not to take routine service-ease for granted. I do all my own work.
So, first I purchased a factory service manual - to make certain that I wouldn't come to hate the scooter, later😊
