I removed the right side engine cover so I could turn engine, and a small threaded piece fell out, I think called an oil through( part 15441). Is this supposed to be loose and what's it for. None of the videos I've watched says anything about it. Should it be threaded into the bolt/shaft? It's got a round head and I don't know what to turn it with. Also, I've got the four headcover bolts off the cover but can't budge the cover. What should I do now? This is ridiculous.

The valve cover is probably NEVER been removed so it is just stuck by the gasket. The gasket is reusable so I know you want to avoid tearing it. Try a heat lamp for a few hours to get the metal good'n hot then gently tap around with a plastic or wood mallet. Not hard but as sharp a buncha blows to try to break it loose. There may be other tubes, stiff hoses still attached but I am sure you have taken all those loose. Send info any chance you get on progress. I will see if I can find out the other stuff.

I finally got the cover off after tapping it with a hammer. How important is it to get the gasket seated exactly. If it isn't would that affect starting?

No, that would not affect starting. I would affect leaking! It is a precise, form fitting gasket. Anything wonky it won't seal and probably be damages if not seated properly then torqued down.
