But very happy about it. I bought my 500 with a listed 20,700 miles. And that's what the papers said. A 2010 Xciting 500R for 1500 bucks. Previous owner did not have it long, he's tall and it did not fit him, killed his butt. The digital odometer is a bit hard for me to read in the sun as I ride without my glasses that I really only need for reading. Looking closely at it I saw it was set on KM instead of miles. I bought this thing with 12,900 miles on it, for 1500 bucks. I wondered what that mode button did. Wait till I see the guy I got it from tomorrow. Yes, I feel stupid. I did not know it was optional on the gauges.

When you registered it with DMV did you tell them 20,000 miles?

Your price is right at typical trade-in value, if in good condition.

Yup. I will call them today and correct that. It won't make any difference as the miles are actually lower than we thought. I never got scammed or anything.

No but if you sell it before it reaches the milage stated it will flag it as not the correct mileage on the title.

I just checked and Iowa disregards all odometer stuff when the vehicle hits 10 years of age. You don't even have to put in a number.
