See what Yamaha did with the name there? Now I don’t know if you guys Stateside will get this model, but having just read this test, I’m sorely tempted to get a test ride myself!

If I were still commuting/travelling mega miles for work, I could have seen myself on one of these.

with dead scooter market in US, doubtful if it gets here----
but Yamaha surely more reliable than the Italians-----and here Yamaha has many more dealers!

I've posted about this thing elsewhere.

To me, Yamaha have always been one of the industry's greatest innovators and this one is a rule bender to the extreme - in that they've made the front wheels just 1cm wide enough for it to be ridden on a car licence (in the UK and IIRC, quite a few other European countries).

So for city commuters without a motorcycle licence you can either take the car (expensive to park), take the train (COVID19, other peoples sweat etc), take a pushbike (has it's merits, but depends on your commute) or.....by a TriCity @ 7 and a half grand (with some resale value when you're done with it)

It's highly unlikely that UK insurers will cover you for this thing on a car licence without some basic training (about £150 for the day)

I would consider one if it had a bigger engine (it's about the same power as my DT, but much heavier or if they made it battery powered (probably make it more expensive though).

I think the aftermarket industry around additional weather protection will be quite brisk (detachable roof.....bigger screen....wipers....heater?)

Passed one of those 2 seat 3 wheel things yesterday. So low and dark as to be nearly invisible.
My dealer has several in his showroom.

Well there are 4 wheeled vehicles out there that 'lean' in the same way the Tricity does - but I guess that's just even more weight.
