Title: Fuel octane for my Yeager?
Post by: flying old guy on August 21, 2020, 10:08:19 AM
I was looking through the manual for an octane fuel rating. I have always used 87 in everything. Someone recently mentioned  I should be using 91. The bike runs very good, but would like to use what it calls for. Thanks

scooters run all over the world using all kinds of different gas...none of our scooters require premium...87 is fine. You have to be careful when reading the octane requirements in our manuals as they are not in 'US' terms (assuming you're in the US).

Many choose to run higher octane in their scoots but it is not required.

I second lahawk. I had a Yager and had the same problem of confused by Kymco vague, conflicting fuel requirement specs. 87 is perfect in the US.

Ok, that's what I thought.  I happened to be reading the manual on my 2018 Like and found it says to use 91 octane. So, 87 it is. Thanks.

If you're in the States. ...give some thought to seeking out stations selling Top Tier gas.
It costs no more.
