OK, did another top speed run at dawn this morning.
AND, took an RPM reading afterwards.
My top speed kinda makes me wonder if I might not be re-using old belts.(I don't throw many scooter parts away)….or it's a slider weight issue.
Not going to lose much sleep over it as I'm not scheduled for a run at the Salt Flats till 2022 for the Tim Hortons team..
Saw 58MPH on the speedo.
Local speed traps consistently tell me that my LIKE is reading about 2-3MPH faster than actual.
So. looks like my max is @55MPH-ish
On this scooter -
Max HP is at 7,500
Max torgue is at 6,500
Post-run tachometer showed I'd maxed at 7,920 rpm's.
Stopped for a snap at Jim Miller's because I liked his lights.

I think I saw about 62mph on a slight down grade....back when I was trying to 'fix' an engine stutter.
Please be aware that these speeds are with a 6'3.5", 255 lb man sitting bolt-upright.
Think of it this way - the scooter thinks that it has been hauling two-up all over S.E. Asia for 8yrs :)

Lmao! That scooter sure can hold its own then. 62mph is pretty good considering your size for the size of the scooter.

Sorry bud, yes "Cubic centimetres" or cubes! Went up to a Kymco X-Town 300i from a Honda PCX 125 and find the K handles my bulk just fine.

Ahh, nice! i'm pretty new to the whole motorcycle/scooter world, so that slang just went past my head hah. I have the 2013 pcx 150, first scooter ever and man it's a blast to ride. Eventually i'll get something bigger probably some kind of cruiser but for now i love it.

Yep, they’re a good scooter and I did run mine for three years commuting and leisure before dropping it for the 300!
