The amber light must be an aftermarket modification.
As far as I know amber lights are better during foggy whether conditions. It also improves visibility in fog. I noticed at least one scooter on the photos has two amber lights - which will be a modification as well.
Those photos has been taken in the Cape Town area, which can get quite foggy and wet during winter seasons. Our winters do not get as cold as winters in the US. Owners often use their scooters and motorcycles during all seasons and whether conditions - which most probably explains the mods on the lights.

Unfortunately that’s not in the area I find myself. There are hundreds of small scooters in our area, but no club activity. If we didn’t have plans to move away from this area I would probably be involved in starting a club for smallish scooters.
I was previously involved in a local motorcycle club for elderly people. I enjoyed club activities - the only problem, most members were just riding too fast for my liking. I never liked racing on a bike, a club for smallish scooters would suit me perfectly.

When my father was stationed in Paris in the 60's...and had our Mercedes (for narrow streets) shipped over, we had to have our car's headlights changed out for amber ones.
Shippers stole our hubcaps and wiper blades!😊

The first time, I believe, that someone from SA has stood on the top step on the podium.
*And the first ever win for KTM. It's amazing what you can do with a fat Red Bull funded chequebook......

Yes, very proud of him. Just after the race I was actually thinking of posting a video of the race here, but then I thought nobody would be interested.
Correct - as far motorcycle GP goes, Brat Binder is the first South African who stood at the top of the podium.
As far as Formula One racing goes - Jody Sheckter from South Africa won the wold championship during 1979 in a Ferrari.

It'll be interesting to see how the KTM's go in the next couple of races. Home turf for them. They'll be looking for Brad to do the business again (particularly as his team mate is skulking off to Honda next season). Pity there's not going to be a crowd there - they would go mental if it happened.

Unfortunately the cops in our country is not nearby as strict as the cops in the US. The result is that there are many superbikes and hell-riders on our roads. Nothing to be proud of - many riders on our roads ride the hell out of their motorcycles.
