Title: How Often Do You Change Your Belt?
Post by: pa-outdoorsman on July 31, 2020, 02:02:15 PM: Just wondering how often you guys change your drive belts in your side-by-sides. According to my UXV450 owner's manual, it is recommended to "check" the belt every 1,200 miles and replace if worn.

My question is, what is the average life expectancy of a belt? Or do you guys just replace it every two years or whenever regardless?

I'm only at just under 700 miles on my machine. So, I doubt it's an issue at this point, but I am just thinking ahead and wondering how many seasons I should expect to get out of a belt, barring any unusual circumstances.

my top speed has dropped from 49, to 46. but no detectable slippage in belt,even when getting heavy loads moving

Post by: airshot on August 04, 2020, 09:45:11 PM: I have a 2015 model with little over 2k miles, belt shows no sign of slipping. I do use low when needed so as not to strain drive belt. I have a brand new replacement on hand for when rhe time comes. At first sign of problem it will get changed
