Is there a free download service manual for the S250?
How to do valve adjustment on the S250? Easy or difficult?
Thanks

The Scribd link is great. I use it like a bookmark. Anytime I want to look I just go to it and scroll through and find what I want.
No need to download so saves paper by not printing it out and saves time spent trying to find the printed stuff because it got put somewhere I can't remember

Well that's great! I'm glad I could actually contribute something other than random comments.

It appears that all the manuals I have seen on this thread are the one I have the jan 2006 one. If anyone buys the new one from Kymco they will have to post here and lets us know if it's worth the bucks.

My guess is that they have not actually changed anything on any of the scoots (P250 and P250S) since January 2006.
So, they have not updated the books since then.

Should be at least injection (P250i) with a number of differences, for example exhaust can with lambda probe inside...

someone asked about valve adjustment. there are instructions posted that take you through it step by step. It is a stand on your head 3 hour procedure, akin to chinese water torture. Last time I did them one was .003 and one was .005 - adjusted both to .004. The worst part is the freakin plastic - it doesn't come off you have to pry it open. I might be able to get it does in 2 hours next time - I fiddled around for many long times trying to get the main side covers off - they have way too many screws holding them on from the inside and you can't get a screw driver on any of them - very tight spaces!!

Take a look at the following link. It shows how to adjust the valves on the p250s along with some photos:

I did mine while I was doing regular maintenance and it was pretty easy.
The bodywork is the biggest PITA.

Take off all of your body work off (in one piece) by following the instructions in guide two at the "wotmeworry" link above. The PS instructions are at the end of the book.... like page 15 IIRC.

I have read this post several times and checked the service manual and see no way to get the body main panels off without removing a bunch of little screws that are freaking impossible to get to. When I have been in the engine compartment I loosen things up and pry them apart to get access to the valve cover you have to take off. I am talking about the major side covers that have the "people s" decoration on them. One of mine could use replacing.
