Who'd want to stock spares and train techs for a nation of 12 owners?

If the T-Max had sold well in the USA then maybe Kymco would bring the AK. It was sales flop so we won't be seeing many big scooters here until/if things change.
-
So sad!
That AK is COOL! More Motorcycle like then ever before.
Sporty and Internet display.

Probably would not sell well in dead US scooter market. Cost?

If US pricing follows the UK then v pricey! Over here the cost is £8,900! A full £3K more than the XCiting 400 so why would you?

The myroad was only offered a couple of years as well.

does anyone know how the tranny on that thing works? I did a search and it says it has a wet clutch...and the drive belt looks like one on a Harley...with a fixed pulley in the back.
Is it some type of DCT like Honda uses on their bikes?

I had new Yamaha TMAX---Kymco probably similar. The TMAX maybe the best Maxi scooter ever offered on US market....really fun to ride. After the miles piled up I sold it fearing high maint. costs. Driveline complicated! TMAX was not cheap to buy....flop in US market.

I called Kymco USA and asked if they might import the 550 but the gal I talked to said she didn't know what would be offered for 2021.

It could be the same as the piaggio B V 350 wet clutch the same as a car clutch, discs in oil,. ,
