Maybe I'm just missing it when I look online but I can't find it. I'm looking for the gear oil filler bolt. Mine will not tighten all the way. I looked online at all the diagrams but for some reason can't find it. Anyone have any idea what the part number is so I can order one?

Whoa! "Won't tighten all the way" means what?

The "S" word, I'm afraid.

meaning in the 8 years I have done this it will not snug up to the hole. I only tighten to the specified torque .but for some reason this time it won't. It came off easy like always and went in by hand just fine but when I went to tighnten it it doesn't want to to. And I didn't want to try any more because I didn't want to strip anything.

Well, it likely is not that the bolt has stripped...but it being of softer metal, more likely that the case is getting stripped.
Other than rethreading the hole and using a larger bolt....have heard that a fibre gasket can work to stop gear case leaks when used with a carefully tightened bolt in a nearly stripped case.
Not a permanent fix....but.

Yes, close inspection will undoubtedly reveal stripped threads in the softer aluminum like Stig said. Magnifying glass, a powerful flashlight and a knee pad ought to do it. You may be able to do the washer thing Stig mentioned but I will bet you will have to rethread very carefully.

thanks guys, I was afraid of that. I've always tried to be careful but I know it can still happen with the aluminum vs a steal bolt. I guess the one plus is that it's the filler hole and not the drain hole. LOL
