Title: Odometer blinking
Post by: ldersch on June 11, 2020, 07:22:01 PM
So the odometer on my 2018 Super 150 started blinking the other day. Not the speedometer, that’s fine, just the odometer. Maybe needs a re-set by unplugging it? Anyone had this issue? It’s not a big deal, just hoping it’s not an indicator of a bigger problem. Thanks!!

Most Kymcos signal that an oil change is needed by blinking different display bits.  Mine (an older model) blinks the oil pressure light every 2000km.  Look in your Owner's Manual.  OTOH, some Kymco blinks are secret signals that only dealers understand (you have to fork over some serious cash to get it turned off).

Thanks Joseph, you’re probably right, this is one of those mileage based reminders. I always look in the manual first, but I think we all know how incomplete those are! Taking it in for a tune up next week anyway. I have a great relationship with my dealer..they’ve had opportunities in the past to soak me, and they never have, so I trust them. In the meantime, I will unplug it and let it reset. I’d bet good money that will put it back to normal!

No need to unplug anything. It's just a simple hidden toggle under the speedo.
