Too many subtle hints from the departing females today…."Drink plenty of water, Dad!"
"Do you have enough gas?"
"I moved the hose for you."
Why do I need to drink water?
Why would I need gas, my scooters are fine?
Hose wasn't bothering me.
I looked at the pup - "one of us is supposed to mow the yard today."
So deep, had to mow the blasted yard twice on this hot, muggy day. Somebody let it go too long....
We celebrated the finished yardwork...……

Look at that hat to see which one of us worked the hardest...

She does better with a straw.....

Wife will testify - I drink about 6 beers a year...and don't like her wine.

We have had 3 days of rain so no yard maintenance for me. To top that off I just put fertilizer on it . Suppose to be in the 80's next week, been in the mid sixties for the last few days.
If it doesn't rain tomorrow I will try to go on a Romeo ride to Wilson KS to the Made From Scratch restaurant about a hour and fifteen ride each way.

our Temp. jumped from 40 to 97 in a few days WE are not used to this high Temp.
cut the grass HUMPFFF, GOT OUT THE VENTED JACKET AND PANTS went for a nice ride, in the over 80 club I got away with it, tomorrow morning grass !!!!

the lawn used to be my passion...until I found riding...now I look at the long grass...think about it for a second....and gear up and go for a ride. Not enough time in a day to both mow and ride!
Had to stop mowing yesterday partway through the back yard as the rain came blowing in. I was already mowing grass that was thick and about 7-8" tall...

Well, it's been in the mid-to-upper 80's the past few days here in NE Ohio. Almost too hot for a ride, but not quite. Went out yesterday for a while, and mostly had the road to myself. As far as grass, my wife does her gardening thing, and I pay the grass cutting crew. I took care of an acre lawn for years, and when we moved here, that was it. No more climbing on the lawn tractor (although I have to admit it was kind of fun to tool along on the tractor...). Today, I'm replacing the air filter in my scoot, since I don't know when the last time it was changed.
Stay safe, and if you've got good weather, enjoy it. Rain moving in tonight through Friday, then the temps drop into the mid-to-low 60's.

Even my Pup was about to turn on me.
She'd look at me with, "how'd YOU like to try peeing in grass up to your ears?!"
