Forgot how a large PITA an oil change on one of these are! No wonder why these are so noisy, that big thumper is RIGHT THERE! Got the strainer by mistake. Good thing because there was fuzzy trash in it. Hung a mirror so the oil level could be seen and put in about 3.5 quarts. Used a Purolator filter 14610 and no leaks. 1312 miles, 311 hours and one(1) each lawn and garden battery!

3.6 liters = 3.8 quarts as per owners manual with oil filter. Actually, the oil jug shows I put 3 quarts in and that was after I ran it to fill the filter. This was to put the sump level to the middle of the sight glass.

I definitely appreciate the .9 quart scoot oil change after dumping 6.5 quarts in the car. Nothing compared to my friends inline 6 diesel with 42 quart capacity.

Last oil change for my Chevy (pretty sure) truck the Chevrolet Dealer put 6 Qts. in my 4 Qt. engine.
Glad I checked my dipstick the next day - and very glad I didn't take off on a 1,000 trip!
They were very embarrassed - my next oil change is free.
I went back for a new battery - and learned that that service rep. was let go, not because of the mechanic's mistake - but because of the fairy tale he tried on me about how checking the oil on this truck is a very complicated procedure....etc., etc.
(My dipstick was nearly 2" above full)
I drove back to the dealer and showed him the receipt for "6 quarts of oil".....in my 4 Qt engine.
Apparently a "bring back" episode gets reported up the chain of command, somewhere - because I didn't rat him out.
Jobs are hard to come by - and we all make mistakes - but lying will only make things worse.

At least you got a bonus. I work on my own vehicles primarily for the cost savings but also for vehicle protection. I pity the non-mechanically savvy individuals who simply take the mechanics word on everything.

I changed the oil on that truck one time. Drain plug is on the side of the pan. Pretty exciting laying under there guessing how far it's going to squirt. Truck was a gift - is rarely driven - so figure I can splurge on it maybe twice a year.

I just reread my previous post and see the wording could be misunderstood. I was not referring to your taking the truck to the shop at all. From your scooter tutorials I am fully aware of your mechanical prowess.
