Never ceases to amaze me how versatile the load carrying capacity is on a scooter compared to a motorcycle. Here we have 40l (50lbs) of cat litter. Hidden from view are the 40 pouches of food under the seat! At this point the top box is empty waiting 4 loaves and 2l of milk...

I like the tie down rope work. I worked at a scout camp 80 miles from here and tied my 30 inch duffel bag across the back. With a 35 liter day pack, 30 liter trunk and the under seat space, I had space for everything plus the Little Ceasar 15 pizza stack for the cabin mates.
And that is with the 125. I am sure a maxi scoot would carry everything I would need for general transport.

I have some soft saddlebags left over from my motorcycle that I have adjusted to fit my Like 150i.

I was given a pair of viking leather bags from a kawasaki vulcan 1500 and (as I don't care about looks) am looking at mounting them on my bike. Some mods may be needed.
As opposed to a motorcycle frame, bolt points on a scooter are limited. How much can be mounted from the three rack bolts on the kymco scoots? I have a bracket and tube to be mounted from them for carrying shovels, hoes, rakes etc.

Carried a fresh-cut Xmas tree home through San Antonio on my CB350 Honda.
Carried four 1 gal cans of house paint, riding pillion on a Honda CB175, up in the San Gabriel mountains - until my buddy took us over the shoulder. Shirtless and barefoot, which was the custom in SoCal, 1967.
Just need 2 wheels, a motor and a little imagination...….

Wish I'd a cell phone in those days. A photo of two heavily tanned barefoot bleeding guys wearing most of 2 exploded gallon cans of cheap white paint....
We went ahead and painted the rest of the bike when we got it home.
To this day my buddy claims it was an oncoming car straddling the center line that caused him to square the curve.

I've heard that corner story before. In my case I swear it was a semi-truck with an oversized load:)

Modern maxi scooters lack a front luggage rack---like Vespa or new Kymco Like 150 in some markets.
Two rubber bags and hump bag from Givi can carry a lot safely for me----underseat is for stuff I need to survive with or little things---Top Box for dog---solo hard to exceed rated load capacity of scooter.

I’m sure Viper would agree, but loading your scooter like that in the UK would almost guarantee getting your collar felt by the boys (or girls) in blue!

I checked with the local highway patrolman and the TN vehicle overhang laws and regs. 5 feet overhang is legal with red flagging. The boards were only 30 pounds and as a static load were much safer than riding two-up.

Gives you a lot more flexibility in TN than we have I reckon. Saves on the cost of delivery too! Winner.
