I was checking the regulator and I saw this cable coming out of the cdi box.
What is it used for?

Where, to what, and how does the other end attach? That would help explain the purpose.

It come out on the side of the cdi box, beside of the connector on the cdi!

Sorry if I wasn't clear. What does the OTHER end opposite of the CDI attach to?
-
Ok it's not a CDI, it's a small box beside the regulator/rectifer!

That really clears things up! What TBR125 is asking is: what is the single wire from the box (that is NOT a CDI) connected to?

I don't recognize the wire but that box in the picture with LEJ2-B11 printed on it I am sure is a CDI module.
