Final interation ....with decals, adjustable gold levers from Japan, longer mirrors from CBX500, reflective NSS300 logo'd wheel trim, tailblazer pulsing brake bulbs and blacked out screen (as used in Europe).(https://i.postimg.cc/13XH36bV/forza39-3.jpg)

Even for a scooter, it's got tinges of the Honda NR750 oval piston road bike.

Always thought that NR750 was a looker!

Stig, you need an Xciting 400i (or is it the 500 in the USA?) with its dual LED headlamps for your dark morning runs I reckon.

A case of wishful thinking on my part - sold the Forza and moved up to a new 2yr old, "left-over" Burgman 400 for its carrying capacity - but my wife decided she wouldn't be comfortable on two wheels.
For a very few days my garage looked like this. (before the trucking co. came - Burgman went 2,700 miles to new owner!)
Really good lighting with these twin running lights!

Added 3M reflective pin-striping to the body - mirror extenders from UK cycle shop, adjustable levers and removed the horribly turbulent stock screen for short sport Ermax's. (much better ride!), Tailblazer pulsing brake bulbs.

This was a nice scooter!

Well, I'm finished buying and selling scooters (unless Honda brings back a nice 250>300 bigwheel scooter, and it would have to be RED!)
The Liberty 150i has a very, very nice headlight - its 55W60 headlight is SO much better than the 35W35 LIKE's headlight!
Probably not many other riders going from a perfectly good Burgman 400 to a Piaggio150 ! (if the Suzuki had been red - but I was lucky that the dealer had two colors to chose from : all-black ,or this grey-and-black. All black would have been given a pass.

No Honda SH300 in your country? It's a not-uncommon beast here!

I rode a ker-nacked Lexmoto Gladiator for about 18 months before the top end went (it cost me £180, I wouldn't say it was a reflection the quality of the bike) and I sold it again for £40. That bike was great - kept me afloat in a financial hole when I couldn't afford anything else - and I remember that the lights were great.

Those Lexmotos sell well over here don't they?  Follow a young lass on Twitter who bought a 125 one to pass her test on and she loved it!

Pre-declared interest - I worked for Lexmoto for a few years and am a fervent advocate of Chinese scooters and bikes, whilst being realistic about their issues.

Consistently the 2nd biggest selling marque in the country, behind Honda.

They were hit and miss for a lot of years but have really sorted their act out now along with Sinnis, their only real competition.

If I were in the market for a new, cheap commuter I'd have real trouble justifying another Suzuki (or a Honda) £2200 base model (Address/Vision) over the £1300 Lexmoto Titan.  (http://"https://www.lexmoto.co.uk/models/ZN125T-8F")

They've just started selling a 300 scooter (http://"https://www.lexmoto.co.uk/models/TR300T-P") as well.

Can't disagree with you Viper, there's far too much 2-wheel snobbery around.

Continuing the spirit full disclosure I should just say that, as a real Team Green fan and previous Kawasaki owner, I went out to buy a J300 last year.  The dealer then asked me why, given that they were selling the X-Town 300i (basically an updated J300 which is a re-badged DownTown 300) for roughly £1,100 less.  To quote our American cousins, I decided this was a no brainer, the XT300 is was then.

Great price, brilliant scooter.

K doesn't sell that scoot here in the Colonies.
As for that price difference ......well, have you priced a can of lime green paint recently!?

Actually Stig, the J300 only had a flash of green. For the most part, the colour is remarkably similar to my XT300!  😁

Isn't my 2016 Downtown 300i the same as the Kawasaki J300?

Yes it is. The motor is sourced out by Kawasaki to Kymco

Stig,

Here is the place in Rome where I bought all of my scooters. The website is in Italian, but I think you can get the gist of it. The images download a little slowly, but under Honda scooters, they still sell the Forza 300. It still is a great looking scooter. just FYI

It uses a Kymco motor and is basically a DT300

More than "basically", I was told by my dealer that the mill is a straight lift!

I think we are talking about US market Forza---real sales flop here.  I considered buying one, took test ride=ok other than a little hard riding----then thought of costs---decent windshield, rear luggage rack/box--had read about odd sized rear tire.....then Honda took off market as sales flop----so bought a CB300F, Hepco & Becker rear rack and saddle bags, worked for me for 18,000 miles until I got tired of open chain----made up from 2 Puig screens, perfect air management---all day comfort with 3/4 long bill helmet---took it to Alaska and on the James Bay road in Quebec. Thai quality fine.

I got a nice price for my Forza. Had no interest in a rack or case. Loved the stock screen. Replacement slightly oversized rear tire (after a massive cut) absolutely zeroed in the speedo!
I do not cruise highways on 2 wheels - so it made me happy every time I approached it!

I also like a bit of team green. I had a KLE500 for quite a few years and adored it. I like the GPZ500 as well. Both quite old hat now...
