Title: Hey Hey! Suggestions on getting my bike going after it has been sitting...
Post by: Nireen on March 23, 2020, 02:24:32 PM
I am about to go lift the tent cover of the bike and start it up.  Been sitting for a few months now.  I notice I am getting a good fair bit of surface rust about the back end.  Any suggestions to get that off now before it gets worse and suggestions. Missed ya all!!

Oxalic acid, also known as wood bleach.
Tin/aluminum foil good for surface rust.

On chrome I use 0000 steel wool and chrome polish. If it's rusting on a painted surface, sand with 220 grit and repaint. Stop rust ASAP.
