Title: The morning my daughter took my scooter keys....
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on February 20, 2020, 01:36:36 PM
The lone adult in the house has gone off to work (wife), so this should be a piece of cake....

Checked the radar....
I figured I could ride through the rain, outrun the tornado, slide past the ice, avoid the lightning, enjoy the hail....and go slipping & splashing down there into my coffee village for a nice Cup o' Joe.

"Where the deuce are my scooter keys?!"

Your a lot more motivated scooter rider then I.  I'm a fair wether rider when the temperature is a least 65F and sunny. I have occasionally walked on the wild side when the temperature was down to 60F.

A lot different then when I was young and use to ride my 72 Yamaha  250 Enduro to school on solid ice, rain, snow or nice weather.

I do have a question for people who ride their scooter in snow.  Isn't the front end prone to wash out with most of the weight on the rear?

Me too these days KK.  Been over a week now for me with all the torrential rain and gale force winds we've been enduring in the UK.  When is Spring due?

Spring is determined by the vernal equinox when the sun crosses over the equator making the day and night equal length.  Around March 20th in the Northern hemisphere and September 22 in the Southern hemisphere.  Weather wise it's anyone's guess.

Well it was a rhetorical question, but thanks anyway for the precise answers guys!  As in anything on this Forum, somewhere an expert lurks :)

Well blow me!  Sunshine and 48F this morning so guess who finally got a ride in on (mostly) dry roads?  Served to remind me how much I enjoy getting out and about on two wheels.  I'll stop next time and take some photos!

Well this weekend in looking nice, they have changed the for cast to 68F Saturday and 72F Sunday.  Unfortunately I have a trip to Ft Worth Saturday coming home Sunday. Hopefully I'll be home in time to take the scooter for a ride Sunday.  Next week it turns colder again.
