Title: What brake pads for People 250S and air filter brand
Post by: Kansas kymco on February 17, 2020, 03:48:11 AM
I see there are a lot of choices for brake pads, does any brand stand out as being a better choice?  Are the after market air filters any good or just stick with Kymco?

The Volar brand off of Amazon.com seems good so far.
  Volar Front Brake Pads for 2007-2011 Kymco People S 250 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YIJRUZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_wUktEbVBDXZ4Q (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YIJRUZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_wUktEbVBDXZ4Q)
I put about 6000 miles on them and they are still working fine.  But the only reason I got them was because of low price.  Kymco parts do tend to be overpriced but not really any better IMO.  Parts labeled as "GY6" or "universal Chinese scooter GY6" etc. tend to be cheaper and more plentiful.  The OEM parts are harder to find but apparently not any better than the cheaper stuff in most cases.

I don't know about air filters.  If an after market exists that is cheaper I'd like to know.

Thanks Stig I haven't looked at the brake pads yet so they might not need changed. The 250S has approx 12 to 16 thousand miles on it. Speedometer is not working. Bike is on it's 2nd set of tires and they still have a lot of tread.
