Title: 2009 People 250 speedometer and odometer not working (update bottom of page)

I was looking at a used for sale 2009 People 250S but the speedometer and odometer does not work.  What do you think would be a likely cause and is this a common issue with this model?

I looked at a 2007 for sale as well and the odometer did not work on that one.

Are they mechanical or electronic on those years?

I'm not sure the scooter is a few hours away. I thought I would check here for any information.

Update it was a broken speedometer cable.

Update ordered a speedometer cable for the People S  in March. Just got a call from the dealer and it came in today. Now if I remember how to reassemble, LOL.
