Belt, oil & filter, air filter to be changed at 10,000Km.
Completed the air filter (tricky), and valves (again) a few hundred miles ago, just for the experience.
Belt change requires two special 'holding' tools, not expensive.....and makes tightening worry-free (NO risk to the cooling blades as with the typical holding tool)
sold the Japanese made one of the left to buy the Vietnamese made one on the right!

After I replaced the crappy plastic gas cap with a billet one from China - scoot has been nothing but fun for 2+ years.

I wanna see photos of the old belt when you change it.

😊...some smaller Piaggios seem to list a belt "replacement" at 6,200 miles - rather than just an inspection.
And like some mechanics say - if you're in there looking at it, might as well put a new one in. They're not expensive.
I do the same with my spark plugs....I don't clean 'em, just replace them every 2 yrs or so. Don't like messing with the little things - always concerned about cross threading.

It may not be hard nor expensive but it may not be necessary either but you will never know. I am checking the belt on my MyRoad regularly to see how long it might last. The maintenance chart recommends checking the belt every 12,000 miles but has no recommended replacement and the chart only goes up to 24,000 miles. The last inspection I did was at 25,000 miles, the belt was in very good shape measuring just under 1mm narrower than a brand new belt (yes I have a replacement for when I need it). There was some minor cracking inside a few areas of the inner ribs but other than that the other surfaces look great aselection do the rollers. I have almost 29,000 miles on it now and my next inspection will be at 30,000 miles. BTW I am carrying the spare belt, a Milwaukee M18 3/8" impact gun and appropriate sockets to be able to change it on the roadside if need be also. Of course the CVT belt for this scoot is a bit more expensive being around $160.

How did the belt look? Seems very soon... I usually do belts every 20,000 miles.

Have about 600 miles to go before the belt change on the Liberty. Also, too cold right now.
(can remember busting knuckles under my VW's in the winter. Blood doesn't flow until you go back inside - so there's that😊)
I see that you and MJR have bright yellow scooters in the motor pool. Neighbor has one of those yellow Reflexes --- very cool color for a scooter, IMHO!! (almost as good as Honda Red!)
Could we get snaps of them?
You might notice that I really like pix of scooters!
Take care,
(6:33AM, and not on my scooter. Feels weird. 18°F outside. I'm not crazy. My coffee is ready here in kitchen. KONA bean this morning. )

Wow!
That's a great scooter!
I was pretty sure the one ridden by the neighbor was a Reflex. Only seen it twice.
Might knock on his door, give him my number, in case he gets tired of it.
Would love to have a Honda again, even if its not RED😊
Thanks MJ,
Stig
