Wearing the new Oxford rain overjacket over the leather ICON "Sanctuary" jacket with just the new HeatTech Ultra shirt beneath - worked great for this morning's windy pre-sunrise ride at 38°F.
This sheds two layers (and a few pounds of weight) which I'd normally wear on a winter day.
I rode for 2 hours and sat outside for another hour - in comfort.
Maybe when I get older I'll give some thought to a screen!....for now I like the screen-less ride.
I am considering installing the Pinlock insert I have - so I might not have to keep the visor open 100% of the time!
Jury's still out on that.....

Stig, I used my pinlock for the first time a few weeks ago and wow, what a difference! I could keep the visor closed without fogging. Now this was in temps in the 40's or maybe even 50's..so you'll have to see how it does in the 30's.
A 2 hour ride in the 30's? Pretty impressive.

I think it is time I get the thing out of the sleeve it has been in for years. It would truly be nice to have a quieter ride, with less cold wind in my eyes and on my face.

mine was also sitting in its sleeve for almost 3 years. While I thought it would be simple to install (or attach?) I ended up watching a youtube video or 2 to see how it was done. You bend the pinlock a lot more than I thought you'd have to in order to get it to snap in place. Give it a try and let us know how it works on the chilly morning rides.

I’ve used my pinlock insert (in an HJC) for 2 years now, year-round. In rides of down to 4c (39f) it works fine with no fogging. Also works well on humid days in a downpour where I used to get really difficult misting.
Still to find a good solution to genuine foggy conditions though, other than to avoid riding!

I had one late morning, out on my Honda Forza, when I was about to take an on-ramp to a highway, that it was soooo foggy that I simply turned around and went home.
I think daylight fog riding is much more dangerous than riding at night in fog. Tail lights are much more visible at night, I think......still I would never ride on a major highway in heavy fog.
I've ridden on dark foggy mornings many times - but only on country roads - and never in two-car-length type fogs.
I'd wipe my face shield about every 15 seconds.
