hey everyone, I had a couple questions. my 2018 like 200i scooters oil is running low, and I was planning on topping it off today.
the owner's manual recommends 15w 40, but I couldn't find any at any gas stations near my house.
is there any other oil that would be okay to use? I'm sure I can find the 15w 40 but I wanted to double check with other, more experienced riders in terms of what oil I use.

Yeah, I saw that in my owner's manual 7 yrs ago----but a 15W/40 is hard to find.
My dealer started me out on full synthetic Amsoil Scooter specific oil 10W/40.
Many old hands recommend a non synthetic oil for the break-in period....but that may have applied to engines from a different time??
I've used a synthetic for 16,000+ miles and my LIKE200i neither leaks nor uses oil between changes.
I never push past 850 or so miles between oil changes - since it requires less than a Qt. per change, and the changes are easy.
So, yeah, a 10W/40 will be fine for your LIKE.
Do give it a change after 600 miles from new!

There is nothing wrong with WalMart housebrand 10-40-----has worked for me for the last 500,000 two wheel miles. Price is right, easy to find in N America.

15-40 common available as diesel truck oil---WalMart good source----15-40 doesn't hurt anything
