Greetings all.
I just bought a 2nd hand DT 300i. My bad , didn’t check properly with the previous owner.
Can anyone advice on this problem I’m facing. Every time I throttle and move off, there’s this whistling sound, can’t really figure out where it came from. Once I close throttle or let the bike free run down slope, the whistling sound went off.
Is it the wheel bearings or something else I should check for?
Thank you all

Check air cleaner and its installation/condition

I vote for John's fix: whistling is air flowing over an edge. Remove the airbox and filter to see if it stops. Maybe just R and R-ing it will cure it.

Thank u John & stuo for the advice.
Will open up the air box and filter to check.

Maybe its your rubber under you center stand . You have a circle rubble that protects the center stand to touch you engine take wd40 and spray that rubber its helped me before i had this problem too

Sorry for the overdue reply.
On top on the previous problem, I encounter squeaking sounds wheneva I ride over road humps.
First thought is the suspension.
But after checking throughout, realize it’s the main stand.
Yoni159 is right on. I spray wd40 on it and oiled the metal parts around the centre stand.
All is good now :D
