Been up for 2 hours. Sitting with my coffee after scootering to town. Still no sign of the sun!
Did see two sets of deer - so they're up.
I have s "30mph headlight" on my LIKE200ILX..... (Provides adequate night vision if riding no more than that speed with the 35/35W headlight)

Many dark mornings I'm passed by a speeding big sport bike of some kind. A mature rider - it's quiet and he is fully geared up. Work commuter I imagine.
Still, his speed is a concern....

Sport bike guy probably had the 60 mph headlights.

Yep. But deer can appear suddenly well inside his 60mph lights.
Both sets of my deer were moving laterally to me this morning.

80/100 watt bulbs, nope, my son bought a BMW325i that was fitted with them... not sure how long the previous owner had installed them, within a couple months after my son bought the car, the headlight housings were disintegrating from heat, the wiring was getting brittle as well.
I learned my lesson from his headlamp failure, want brighter lights, add auxiliary lighting, or go led
On my SV650, even sticking with stock 55/60w bulb, after 120k miles or so, the bulb socket burnt out

Don't know what an SV650 is...but my little Piaggio 155 has a 55/60W bulb, stock, and have no issues after 2 yrs of operation. It is plenty bright for my daily, night, rides😊
