Can someone tell me the torque value for the transmission drain and fill bolts?
It's not listed in the virtually useless User Manual and there is very little information on this model on the internet.
The manual lists 0.12 liters as the transmission oil exchange volume, but I drained 0.17 liters on the 600 mile maintenance.
I will refill with 0.14 liters ( the listed "full" amount) and check the performance.
The manual also lists oil screen cleaning at 600 miles, but there is no oil screen behind the drain plug.

I never use a torque wrench for such small fittings.
Use a good washer, if there was one originally - and just snug it with a 6>8" ratchet.
Snug is all you need. Too many have stripped the case.
If your scooter has a large threaded cap on the bottom of the case - that will have a spring and a screen which gets cleaned.

I don't use a torque wrench either, just snug the bolts. As for the final drive quantity. The 2018 owners manual listed .18L. The service manual listed .12L. The Tech at my dealer said to go with the service manual. Most likely many of them have been over filled due to the owners manual. I have a service manual but don't find it all that useful.

Thank you both for the replies. I found the screen plug and will change the oil again in about 400 miles to check the screen.
I may have to resort to the cyclepedia manual, but running back and forth between the scooter and computer is not very practical for me.

You can buy the paper version. Photos aren't nearly as helpful - in b/w, but saves running.

I seldom check the filter screen. I have never in my life found anything significant in the filter screens of any bike I have owned. The like has a magnetic drain plug which is really nice. I check it for iron particles but it just has a little sludge on it. I have changed the oil on mine 5 or 6 time now. It has a 1250 mile interval but I have ended up changing it out early every time due to the fact that I was going on a trip which would have put me over the interval. I'm up around 5800 miles now.

on my People S200 the amount specified in the owner's manual and the amount stamped into the case by the fill plug were very different. Manual called for too much. When I bought the scooter the gear oil was overfilled and was getting blown into the airbox, soaking the air filter.
It would make sense if they made the gear oil fill hole like they do on a car's rear differential..fill it to overflow and you're good to go...but....they don't.

Thanks for mentioning. I guess these plugs are standard and 150i magnetic plugs can be used on other Kymco models across the board as well ?
