Title: Gear shaft?
Post by: Ajayprasad on September 09, 2019, 03:42:10 AM
So I did this...

I'm trying to 1) get the nut off. I guess I have to repeat PB buster and heat repeatedly. I acquired a torque wrench but the instructions advise not to loosen fasteners. or 2) I'm going to cut the rest of it off. There in lies the question, going off of

Is it the final drive 23431 or the shaft drive 23411? I just want to find the part because I'll have to wait forever  :'(

Thank you

I believe that the shaft that takes drive from the clutch is 23431 the other shaft has the splines for the wheel mounting.

Don't cut or drill or heat anything!  The nut comes off easily with the right socket.

Too late now. It's already been replaced. That was my first method. I could very well be wrong but it was not coming off with the correct socket. It generated so much torque the contra spring expanded.
