Title: Heard a thump - got stranded.

Pup and I heard a funny thump. ?
"Pretty windy....."
Found my patio umbrella on the roof.
 I was in a big hurry to get the umbrella before it damaged the roof - so, didn't secure the ladder.
Yeah, folded the big umbrella = spooky in that wind!- and tossed it down.....then the wind blew down the ladder.
(Had just taken a shower and was relaxing after mowing the yard, and putting the Liberty back together with a new valve cover gasket (those boys in TX are quick!!)

Sat and waited.
Heard my wife and daughter come home - so I called my daughter.
That was an interesting conversation.

Yeah, I  know. My daughter immediately texted all her sibs.
Plus, I gotta pay for a new umbrella. It didn't survive my roof launch too well.  (who wants to stand on a very sloped roof in a high wind holding a giant open umbrella!? Good way to damage a scooter rider....)
Thing went straight up from the table to the roof....pretty as you please.Some kind of aerodynamics going on that is beyond my understanding.

I suppose you considered a "Mary Poppins" ride down with your umbrella?  8)
