What are people using to get the cast swingarm off the axle ????
Mine is stuck on (like a press fit)
One of my Vespa's does the same thing .......... made a tool for
getting it off ...... (specific for the Vespa)
Thanks!

when my 300 was new I used a rubber mallet, a few bonks and it came off,
-
I used a simple and cheap 2 prong puller to ease mine right off on my LIKE200iLX.

Once you remove the big nut and the chrome spacer it THEORETICALLY should slide off but doesn't! The problem is the grit and corrosion between the bearing inner race and the shaft pracically weld it solid. The cast peice on the DT 300i is different than the other models in that the places available for puller hooks are all at different levels and radius. I used the legs of a puller the first time and this last time the flat sides of y combination wrenches to get it started. Once you get it moving a little light oil helps it slide right off if EVENLY pulled. Everyone has this problem the first time!

DANG !!!! .... got it off .....but it was stuck on beyond CRAZY !!!
Are you putting Anti-Seize or grease on the axle on reassembly
to help for next the time ????

I used anti-seize first and now use grease.

Had that happen to me when changing the rear tire.
The workshop had to continuously spray carb cleaner to get the rust out. It's due to rain getting in there, perhaps insufficient grease on that shaft.
I think it took about 30mins of spraying carb cleaner and tapping with a rubber mallet to finally getting it off.
