I replaced my headlight with a halogen bulb recently.

I used the Eiko Halogen 6235B which is 12v/35w like the OEM bulb.

too me that looks like a standard fitting bayonet type bulb so as long as you get the voltage and watts rating right i recon most common automotive bulbs will fit ok,just cos the glass is larger dont realy matter to be honest.I will be interested to see were this goes from here ill be watching lol tc :)

con will you do us all a favour on here and measure the cap length/width and if possible the space between contacts (centres) it so looks standard to me,being a mechanic you must have a vernier caliper lying around or at hand somewere,i work for a large auto parts distribution company (THATS WHEN IM NOT LAYED OUT AT HOME WITH WHIP LASH ::) ) and im sure i could send you in the right direction bud tc  :)

I think it may be tough to find something that would fit at a place like home depot.

I believe that this specific base is used often for motorcycles, scooters, atvs, and snow mobiles.  I would check with any shops that sell/service that kind of equipment.

No argument about that.  This is why I tried the Halogen.

Helps a little, but I think Blue is on to something with the idea of adding some driving lights.

You know, it actually looks great.  And I bet you'll see a difference with being able to see the road.

I think the Hella no for the halogen globe to suit is BA20D, if I remember correctly. I have since bought a new one from Scooter Assassins, ultra blue, just haven't put it in yet. My first halogen one blew the low beam.
