I bought a 2018 Like that was recently delivered. Not a terrible bike. I'd like to redo the seat & maybe put plasti dip on the top edge of the light. It was kinda rough on my asthma, since they shipped it w/ 91 octane or even higher. I just drained it out & put in 87 w/ ehtanol. It runs just fine, probably a little less umph. Scooters, I've had included a kymco people, a malaguti 2 smoke, a honda helix and a moped along w/ 3 or so MC's.
Premium fuel is made by adding benzene to the regular stuff. Benzene is a known carcinogen. Not like I'm trying to hang on to this great world :( , but riding a bike w/ premium does make me sick. I finally just broke down & bought a mask, as stubborn as I am.
Tried to post a picture, but I don't think I'm getting how to do that here.
Happy to be scootering again. Not sure if I'll even put a tag on it. Only way it will see any real traffic is if I put it on the back of a camper van or RV. Where I live is an 8000 acre ranch community that allows atv's & golf carts on the streets, so I doubt they'll bother me about this. I paid 2500 delivered. No tax bc I bought it out of state. If I register it, of course, I have to pay the tax.

Another matte black one!
Should be a nice scoot for you.
8000 acre 'community', never heard of such a thing, or issues with premium fuels. Glad you've worked out a method of dealing with it.
Is it a large manufactured home park?...in the SouthWest, USA?
In any event, hope you enjoy it, and welcome!

No, I couldn't live in a manufactured home w/ my asthma. It's a ranch community. 4-10 acre lots on average. They allow horses here, but I've yet to see one out & about. We're in fly over country, I guess people would call it.

You've a problem with the top edge of the headlight, and with the seat.
Some don't
, but I sure did. (also mirrors were too short), so masked off the headlight snd sprayed with near chrome paint.
I bought a good LIKE seat on ebay for $35, and set about rebuilding myself a comfy seat. Used Sailrite 4-way stretch vinyl, correct foams from a foam warehouse, stainless staples....and many hours later had a supremely ugly & comfortable seat!
Added a lighted top case for my daily pre-sunrise rides.
7 yrs on still enjoying it.

will now check what 8000 acres is in miles

Enjoyed my malaguti 50cc seat most of all the bikes I had. Best part- it was flat across. My gf used to sit in front of me & I'd drive. I'll have to do some homework & see what seats cross over if any.

I debadged my like. Now it's just a bike. 😁 It looks much better w/o the badges.
I noticed the light doesn't bother me at night if I keep it on the high beam. I'll probably get motivated & plasti dip it.. today even.

I'm a tick over 6'3", and in night fog that headlight glare-back was wicked. Of course, high beam in fog won't work either. Took me long enough to paint it. Electrical tape was on there much too long!😊

Here's the customization I've done for my matte black 2018 Kymco Like 200i. See the picture.
1. Removed the plastic lettering (looked cheap to me) - but left the front one alone
2. Added the Puig windscreen (to deflect wind) - doesn't work for me - 6' 2" @ 250 lbs
3. Removed the silver/gray stripes (not a retro look for me) - left with all black theme
4. Added a whiskey-colored seat cover (to combat black theme) - I like it, though slippery.
5. Waiting on chrome crash bars (to combat all black theme) - cosmetic change only
No regrets with any of my changes - also slowly gathering proper tools for garage maintenance.

Thanks for the photo!
Is the seat cover from cheekyseats, or whatever they're called?
We'll need a pic with the crashbars, of course. :)
Kinda surprised they're still available.
Working on my dealer to see about a Kymco service manual from Kymco USA....fingers crossed.
