Title: Learned something new
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on August 09, 2019, 11:12:11 AM
Service schedule on my Piaggio says to Lube three things every 6,000 miles.
One of them is the "transmission".
(No they don't mean the gear oil...that's a different item on the sched.)
I can handle the other 2, but figured I'd go to Firestone to get the transmission lubed.
Fortunately I asked the Vespa folks. Piaggio calls the cables the transmission! I'm to lube all the cables. Makes an Italian kind of sense I guess. .....
Alright then....

Transmission = cables? No wonder the Tower of Pisa leans!
