Hi, i have a 2017 xciting 400 with 4000km and sometimes after i start the scooter and start driving the abs light stays on and the abs is not working, the speedometer is working all the time, checked all the cables, connections and fuses, and cleaned both front and rear sensors without any luck, so if anyone can suggest some type of fix...   :-\

Hi,

Do you find a solution for your problem because I have the same issue.
And when I stop the engine and start it again ABS lamp signal disappeared

Apparently few members are experienced with this issue with this scooter.
Cyclepedia.com sells a service manual for this model Kymco which may be of help to both of you.

I have a 2018 Xciting 400i printed manual from Cyclepedia.

Did you do any service on the bike? Brakes, brake lines, leads, leaking fluid etc..? Also low tire pressure is not within specs it will throw off the ABS. Did you recently change tires from the standard size? do you have a deformed wheel? Have you ridden on continuously rough roads? These are some of the questions asked in the manual.

1) If a service code, they are stored in the ABS unit memory and have to be manually cleared. After the Fault has been corrected, erase the service codes

Give me your mailing address and I will photocopy  the section on the ABS brakes and mail it to you. It might be the easiest way, because my online subscription ran out.
