Title: How to check the starter relay?
Post by: edog on July 21, 2019, 05:12:40 AM
The electric start has not been working for a few months. I can hear the solenoid/relay click when I press the starter button, but the motor does nothing. Battery is good. All lights work on the scooter. I want to test the relay to see if power is getting to the starter motor but can't figure out where it is located on the bike. I think it is under the plastic body frame, but I can't understand how to remove this frame. Please let me know what to do here... thanks!

You don't have to remove much of anything to test the start relay. Hook a multimeter or test light to the starter motor + post and ground and watch when you push the start button.

Thanks... I took all the body off and then found that it was a bad connection to the starter motor... lol!
