Title: Slow acceleration to 5500Rpm and very slow above
Post by: Szpilu on July 19, 2019, 11:55:43 AM
Dear All, I changed the Face drive+FACE COMP MOVABLE DRIVE+Belt(Gates). And buy a lighter rollers 14.5gr. But the scooter is very different the acceleration very slow to 5500Rpm then 5500-7000rpm more slower than the original setup.

What You think? the Original setup: Stock Variator Movable Drive+Face drive 15gr Dr Pulley rollers, Malossi belt, white malossi contrast spring.

Personally, I think the original, standard set-up on the DT300i is very hard to beat. Especially the stock Mitsuboshi belt: works good, lasts a long time. But then I am lazy!

Shouldn't you rather fit heavier rollers to compensate for the Malossi spring, and the face, you replaced which I assume is different from what was on before.

Also the gates belt could be different dimensions, so behaviour  will be different.

Fu....k The different: 22110-LGE5 what is the stock and what I ordered 22110-LEA7 code. I changed back the LGE5 variator house with the new belt+lighter rollers. And I can fly :D

The ordered variator house item number: 22110-LEA7 but my variator house is 22110-LGE5 what I need, the LEA7 the older variator vs my Downtown. Sorry if i wasn't clear.

It's was my mistake I didn't looked after what I need.

LGE5 is a designator for the x-town model not the Downtown which is LEA7. Maybe all understood that from the beginning but I am slower-witted than most!

No, just the opposite. Heavier contra spring and lighter rollers keeps the belt down in the variator longer and and allows the engine to work in the powerband.
