Title: 2006 people 150 no spark
Post by: Kansas kymco on July 03, 2019, 10:11:03 PM
I have a 2006 people 150 and have no spark. Tried a new plug and still no spark. I bought the scooter that had been sitting for years and put on a new carburetor and cleaned the fuel system  and installed a new battery. Not getting any spark  what would you suggest trying?

It would require some initiative on your part . . but reviewing previous related discussions in this forum category may help.

If you have already checked that the right-grip switch is in run position, and spark plug boot is not deficient (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZrIptLsMTI), reference a wiring diagram and verify voltage into the CDI?

Found the problem , corrosion in the contacts of the kill switch.  Thanks for the reply.

By fooling with the switch sometimes you would get spark and then you wouldn't.  Took apart and cleaned the contacts.  I can't take the credit Dan's cycle (local Kymco dealer) figured it out.
