Title: Scooter smells
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on July 03, 2019, 11:27:58 AM
I get a lot of different smells when I'm out on my scooter riding in the sticks at sunrise.
Bacon!...most mornings as I pass a certain farmhouse.
New-cut alfalfa is a favorite. Hay & mowed berm grass. In the winter it's wood smoke and cow poop.
My daughter laughed at me when I told her that there is a section where I smell Frito corn chips nearly every morning. I slowed in the truck, asked her to roll down her window and "think Fritos!" as we passsed an area of roadside vegetation.
"See?" !
Always warm diesel when I cross over I-70.
Sometimes.....rain coming.
And, after applications of ACF-50, I  smell it cooking in (off?) at a stop.

Lots of reasons to enjoy a rural sunrise scooter ride.

Just remembered another: drier sheets - in the neighborhood.

Yet another benefit of scooter over car travel.
The only times I don't appreciate being exposed to smells are behind diesel vehicles and fresh roadkill.
