Title: why Honda body panels so low priced ?
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on June 19, 2019, 11:49:30 PM
Seems crazy to me.
Dump a big ol' shiny red Honda Forza on its side for a nice skid......and you can put all new panels on for @$200 total. ($55 for front side piece, $75 for the hip panel )
PCX panels are crazy inexpensive, too.

Calm down there BB,😊
Don't you agree that is a pretty low price to repair with all new, painted, panels after the typical side dump of a Honda (not a particularly cheap scooter)
Burgman panels are worth more than the engines.

Grom panels are also super inexpensive.  I'm guessing they are plastic, not fiberglass.  I'll bet panels for Gold Wings or a Honda Super Sport aren't so cheap.

Panels are super-cheap to manufacture - they should be cheap!

When i dumped my Yamaha SMAX, the 3 replacement panels cost only $100.00 total. I recently looked at a Honda Silver Wing with some scarred up panels. I looked up the cost for replacements. They were a lot more than i expected, roughly $600.00 for 3 panels. It is an out of production scooter. That may be the reason.
